En El Garaje is a compelling archival release featuring previously unreleased demo recordings by Spanish post-punk pioneers Décima Víctima. Captured during the final week of October 1983, these intimate sessions were recorded live on a 4-track tape recorder in producer Paco Trinidad’s home garage, offering a raw and unfiltered glimpse into the band’s creative process during a pivotal moment in their brief but influential career.

The recordings on En El Garaje showcase early versions of tracks that would later appear on their 1984 studio album "Un Hombre Solo". Notably, all lyrics were revised for the final studio versions—except for Lars Mertanen’s interpretation of “La Frontera Perdida,” which retains its original form on this demo release. While the majority of the tracks were recorded live in one take, additional overdubs were later added, including clarinet parts and subtle guitar embellishments by Lars, further enriching the sonic texture.

Originally released in 2019, En El Garaje stands as a rare and essential document for fans and collectors, shedding light on Décima Víctima’s raw artistry and the minimalist beauty that defined their sound.
